Enclosure Design

Enclosure Materials
(3)
10"x10"x1"  Wood
(2) 20"x30"x3/16" Foam Board

Additional Requirements
Wood Glue
Craft Sticks
Ruler
Silicone
Exacto Blade

Experiment Requirements
Humidifier
Step Instructions
- Cut up foam board pieces. On one of the pieces that are 8.5"x 9.5" add a .5"x,25" rectangle for the Humidifier. On the remaining piece add a small slit for the humidity sensor wires.
- Create a 3"x1" "U" Piece out of Foam. In between that piece create a slit for the humidity sensor to sit. This ensures that conditions inside the box are the same for every experiment.
-Assemble wooden squares together using craft sticks to distribute the wood glue. The wooden pieces are essential to ensure sturdiness and an airtight environment.
- Next glue the 9.5"x10" Foam board pieces onto the interior of the Wooden Structure.
- Then take the remaining two pieces (8.5"x9.5") with the cut outs created for the humidifier and the Humidity Sensor and glue to the sides of the wooden structure. After everything is glued together, use the silicone to seal all of the corners within the box.
