The experiment was held for 20 minutes each Test of the different Shading system, including with no shade applied. The Results and Graphs for each Separate Test are divided in 2 parts: A. The actual numeric result (X °F or X Lux) B. The Temperature and Illumination Change in order to be compared starting in 0° F or 0 Lux.
TEST COMPARISON GHAPHS
CONCLUSION AND REFLEXION
Vegetation Shading had the less temperature difference. It was the best shading system to maintain temperature inside the test box. However, Louvers had the best capacity of illuminating inside the test box. Integrating Vegetation in a Louver system can have a good impact as a shading system.
Without a doubt there is a lot of exploration opportunities for this theme. The intention is to start to make awareness of the importance of passive shading for all of us and to share the motivation of researching, testing, itereting and repeating shading methods and materials as building science for Designers, Engineers, Architects and to whom is interested.
